Branding and digital experience for an inclusive hair & tattoo salon in Milan.

EDGES is a creative hair and tattoo studio located in the Navigli district of Milan. This isn’t your typical beauty space: it’s a salon where style meets storytelling, where the experience is as personal as the cut.
The goal was to develop a brand identity that reflects its values—inclusivity, creativity, bold individuality—and translate that into a digital experience that feels as expressive and nonconformist as the space itself.

EDGES is more than a name. It stands for contrast, edge, voice, and freedom. The brand embraces afro-friendly, queer-friendly, body-positive values, and builds a community where clients and stylists feel safe to express their identity—without filters or compromise.
It’s a place where fashion meets activism, where trends are reimagined, and where the boundaries of hair, art, and culture blur.
VISUAL IDENTITY
Raw, bold, inclusive Just like the people it speaks to
The design is built on strong contrasts:
Logo: Handwritten, raw, intentionally imperfect — a visual declaration of personality
Typography: Helvetica + Permanent Marker — structure meets rebellion
Color palette: From black & white editorial minimalism to acid neons and punchy pinks, reflecting the creative tension at the heart of the brand

A digital space that feels like the physical one: alive, expressive, and full of energy.
From the homepage to the booking system, the website was designed to reflect the soul of EDGES:
Interactive layout with surprising elements
Color blocks and playful visual codes
Clear service info and intuitive navigation

Each interaction echoes the physical salon’s warmth, boldness, and cultural pulse.
